Busted rear hatch window!

Busted rear hatch window!
Okay luckily not mine! My friend who has two of my old Ex's and her silver '04 shut her hatch window first and then went to close the barn door and, well you know how that goes.
My question is, she has my old 2000 Ex for parts. Can the window be removed from the hatch itself or do we have to swap the whole hatch between trucks?
I've searched for a parts blowup but can't seem to find one, any insight?

Yes, you can remove the glass from the hatch. It is held in there by 16 nuts and some butyl rubber sealant.

Trim comes off from top down. Sides have some hidden fastners.
The GLASS is held on with Nuts'
Studs are fastened onto the glass, when I tried to remove to reseal the upper section of mine there are 5 studs that would Spin, So i moved to other ways and didn't remove.
Once all the gunk and plastic and crap is removed you will see the nuts
I vote to swap the entire rear hatch with 4 studs!
On a side note, Anyone have much luck fastening the defrost tab back on the glass?

If you haven't tried gluing it on (don't)! you can resolder it. I do it all the time. the localized heat will not shatter the glass.
Good luck!

I should finish this story off, eh?
So her Husband is up north working for 3 weeks and her Father is out of state at the moment, so she had nobody other then me to do the work. She lives 55 miles one way from me and it's been chilly so she told me not to worry about it. Ended up buying new glass and having it installed at a shop, along with a new windshield.
She said she saved the parts Excursion glass for when she really needs it, seeing as how she has two daily driven Ex's.
