I consider myself a pretty good "hobby wrench" and I don't think I could get any of the glass runner moldings or anti-rattle moldings out without 'dropping' the glass. Chances are if the molding is original it is going to be brittle and difficult to remove without damage. Mine were. This said, if funds were tight and time was ample, I would certainly try. BTW, glass is not difficult to drop to the bottom of the door. Good luck.
Wrong answer. Door glass answer not windshield, rear window or backlite.
Removal is very carefully if not hard and weather cracked. It can be done with a helper and cord around the outside of the molding. IMO, easier to cut it out and buy new moldings.
