Lumbar

The other day I was driving and I felt a snap in my seat where the lumbar is located. I reached down the the adjustment **** and it could tell that it wasn't hooked up to the lumbar support anymore. I pulled my seat cover up in the back as far as I could and found a broken cable. Does anyone know a quick fix for this??

Lumbar

Hi tylerwhs86 and welcome to FTE

The only repair I've seen for this is to replace the whole lumbar assembly
It comes in one piece...cable, lumbar piece etc. You have to pull the whole seat out and apart to replace it.

Lumbar

I repaired mine with a bicycle brake cable from walmart. From what i remeber, the end at the **** was exactly the same as the bike cable and i had to make the end at the lumbar side. I just took a small nut and bolt, drilled a hole near the head of the bolt the size of the cable and then tightened the nut and bolt on the cable. Pull the slack out of the cable and then tighten the nut and bolt. It was less than $5 and it included two cables. I would also recommend a small amount of grease on the two steel rods where the lumbar moves up and down.
