For what its worth, my access has been great. The velcro is awesome and there is a cam mechanism that you engage that stretches the cover the length of the bed, then all you have to do is run your hand down each side to attach the cover to the bed frame. stretch adjustments on the left and right side looking at the cab from the tailgate are done with adjustment ***** on either side of the inside of the bed via wing nut type fasteners that you can turn by hand.
With that being said, since day one I have treated my vinyl cover with Wolfsteins. I read an article on autogeekonline about it and it works fantastic. My cover looks better than it did coming out of the box from the factory. Here are the links to the article and product.
What's the difference between the regular and limited versions?
Also, can it withstand say 8" of snow on top?
The Limited and Original are very similar. The Limited comes with a few bonus features: A cargo-reaching tool, a battery-powered LED Light, a seal for your tailgate, some cover cleaner and integrated tie-down rings for securing cargo.
As for snow, we make our tonneau covers here in Jamestown, North Dakota. We know a thing or too about heavy snow, and I have personally pushed all kinds of snow off my own ACCESS Cover.
But here is a photo from Sean T. in New York. He took this photo after a blizzard buried his F-150 last winter and he had to dig it out. Cover was just fine.

Has anyone had any experience with Bak's new Revolver X2 cover? It is a hard roll up cover that seems to be really nice and similarly priced to the F1. I'm just wondering how leakproof it is and how the vinyl cover holds up to the sun? Thanks everyone.
I've only had my Revolver X2 about 6 months. It seals up better than any folding cover I've ever had. I do get a little water in the front left corner when the truck is sitting in my driveway. I have no problems when the truck is moving. There are no drain tubes like the folder covers have which is nice.
I was considering the roll up hard cover that Bak makes, the Revolver X2. But I've read some reviews that say it freezes and can't roll up in the winter and also that the vinyl cover starts to crack from sun exposure allowing the cover to leak from the hinges.
The Revolver X2 hasn't been out long enough for anyone to comment on the sun cracking it. By the looks and feel of the material I think it will hold up well.
The cold doesn't really freeze them up. I did notice when the cover is covered with snow/ice it doesn't roll up as nice and small as it does when the cover is clean.
There are no hinges on the cover, it rolls up. I did read there were some issues with the original Revolver cover that were addressed with the X2.
I'm happy with mine and would not hesitate to buy another.

Thanks. I was actually going off of reviews and issues from the original Revolver because there hasn't been too many reviews done by owners of the new X2.
Good to know that you like yours though. I'm still up in the air trying to decide between Fibermax, F1, or Revolver X2 right now. Did you buy the Bakbox with yours? If so, do you recommend it?
I did not get the Bakbox. Those are all good choices, hard to go wrong with any of them. If you haul stuff on top your cover, the folding ones are better. A couple things I like about the roll up are no drain tubes & with the cover fully open you can see out the rear window.
If you are clever with your bungee cords you can lock the rolling cover partially open (at about 1" increments). You need to bungee the latches down which locks the cover & bungee the rolled up portion so it does flop in the wind.
I had Berlin Tarp and Canvas do my SD with a cover that matches my truck....No generic Black for this Cowboy. All for a rip roaring $245.00, INSTALLED.
On my '99 F150 I have a vinyl roll up cover. At first I loved it! It was fairly easy to install and use. It would roll up to the cab leaving the box free. It was strong enough to handle the snow and rain on top. It had Velcro along the side rails that kept it fastened down all the way down the sides, so no wind or water leaked in.
After a few years the problems started. The Velcro got to where it wouldn't hold anymore. Rain, dirt, mud, snow, and everything else wore it out so it won't hold the sides. I think if I kept it closed all of the time it may have lasted longer, but it won't hold well now. When driving on the highway the sides come undone and wind gets under the cover pillowing it up like a parachute. Then after about 5 or 6 years it shrunk. I don't put a lot of time into cleaning and detailing my pickups, I got them to use. Maybe if I would have used armorall or some kind of conditioner on it regularly it would have been better. I was going to install some snaps along the sides to keep it down but it has shrunk enough that I can't pull the sides down far enough to use snaps.
So, I really preferred the vinyl roll up cover at first. Now it is a useless roll of vinyl sitting behind my cab. I keep saying I am going to take it off and throw it away, just have not done it yet.
Another thing I did like about this cover it was very easy to install. The side rails had small clamps that hold it to the side of the box. It installs in less than a half hour!
If anyone goes with a vinyl cover I suggest spending time on maintenance on it.
I want to mention that today is the last day of our Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, and you can get our covers for 25% off today. Here is our store.
I have had an Access cover for 10 years on my truck and love it. Plus, when I broke the plastic lock down, they sent a replacement free. Great customer service.
