no, my dad pulled it off of a car in the junkyard. i tried it with a different coil i had, the truck cranked but the tach still didnt work!!!!!! im about ready to smash the freakin thing, everything is hooked up but all it does is light up and that is only good for a very crappy lamp!!

i tried the junk yard tach thing, i wondered why anyone didnt already pull this tach before me, well i tried this and tried that and never could get it to work, i went to autozone spent 24 bucks hooked it up like BB says and what do you know it works.

dag um, my dad has found a sun tach in the junkyard, hooked it up and walah, it works, i guess the other one was a dud. does your tach seem kinda floaty?? mine doesnt exactly give the quickest output as i would expect.

i got a tach at autozone that cost 60 dollers and it was a real ease to put it in just the only thing was a little trouble gettin the light to work with my dash lights, but fiqured it out take you light switch and find the wire by stickin the wire from your tach into the harness then it lights upthere it is i believe the wire was white on my 71

If you look on ebay, they have some where guys pulled them off there race cars and now selling or some brand new. I saw a couple 5" w/ shift lites for like 75 to 100 bucks. I just got a 3 5/8 auto gauge one last night for 12.50 new, but box missing. He had it just sitting around, so we will see what happens.
