Rear axle leak?

Rear axle leak?




This rear axle leak can it cause any damage short term? Is it an easy fix? Can it be done in my garage?

Make sure that the vent is clear. Left side of picture, where the brake line junction is. That hose going upwards.
If plugged, differential fluid could be forced past the axle seals and get on the brake shoes.
Cover gasket is easy enough to replace. Some use a RTV type of sealer.

Yeah my parkingbrake doesnt work anymore and the brakes are bit sqooshy aswell...
