you didnt say anything about an exhaust system, if you still have the stock system, get a diamond eye 3'' to 4'' straight pipe and you will gain much more whistle
A far as the D66, its a stock turbo plus a tiny bit. They give it a good sales pitch though.
What you tow...that makes it man size!
If a guy looks around the sd stuff can be bought cheap and I actually got several pieces given to me. If I did it I would build a set of hybrid up pipes to go from obs manifold to sd turbo. On my truck the sd manifold would hit the fire wall.

Question? fordman
If I use the e99 exhaust housing on my truck how is one to make the wastegate work. And would the waste gate rod clear the firewall. I got all necessary parts to use the sd e99 setup, also I know for a fact that I need the sd flange for the down pipe.

I have 3 inch down pipe with 4 inch exhaust and 6 inch stacks
Sigh...I am going to try my best to stay off the soap box.... I understand you want it to whistle loud and blow smoke and make a big show. But what is the point if you are all show and no GO?? Carefully consider the road you are traveling. Not being able to back up your loud exhaust will cause you to look like a goob. Having a truck that is all go and less show is much more fun. Building a truck takes a well thought out combination of parts and tuning. Don't waste your money on useless parts

Yes I want it to whistle real loud and have some show lol.. But it's my work truck it's not super built but I have done a few things to help it and it has all the power I need.. I can put 10,000lbs of hay and I hail trucks horses etc all the time and can go as fast as I want.. I'm not about speed I want something strong that's why I have this truck lol.. Thats true you need to have the right combination people think you can just put stage 3 injectors and a chip and you have a race truck, that's not how it works but thanks lol I found another turbo I'd like to see what you all think about it, I'll post the link tomorrow, I was set on getting the d66 but it doesn't sound like it's going to do what I want
All a this ^^^^^^^^^^ is part of the reason the new Deisels have the stupid f-ing DPF/DEF crap on them. I just deleted that crap off my wife's 11 6.7 and its a much more powerful truck.
If you want whistle do a 6637 and delete the EBPV then it'll whistle plenty.
Far as the smoke have your truck tuned not to smoke and it'll make a lot more power.
Smoke is unburnt fuel which means it's not running efficient
Arron I've gotta ask why the sd manifold works on my truck but won't on yours?
New guy, yeah it makes some noise.
I am not sure but I believe there are some big difference in these cabs. After Glenn's dp issue I am more convinced. I can't get the driver up pipe out of the truck and several can. I have to jack my cab up. But honestly it would be no biggie to build a set of bellowed up pipes to make that deal happen. That was one plan I considered. Prob should have done it. Oh well guess I'm stuck with what I have.
Hmm. Interesting. I see where you're coming from. Somehow I managed to stuff the sd manifolds and a 4" dp with less modification to the firewall than glens truck lol

Yea I think the manufacturing tolerances were a bit lax. I could have saved a fair chunk of cash and time by 38r and done. You don't really have egt issues to speak of. Honestly I run mine so turned down its stupid. Maybe after it is running correctly I will reevaluate that situation.
