0-60?
Before I purchased my Connect I had read that it made it to 60 MPH in about 10 seconds. If I remember correctly that was before the model change in 2014. I haven't timed it but this vehicle seems fairly fast to me and it seems like 2015, with the extra horsepower and extra two gears, should do better than the pre-2015s. Does anyone know of any recent data on the Connect's 0-60 performance?

Well, you could do what I would do (and did) and do a Google search on "Transit Connect Road Test"....here's a test of a LWB passenger version that comes in at 10.7 seconds but a short cargo van is gonna be faster if it's empty...

Thank you for the info. I have the SWB, and like Lost says, it feels like a sports car.
The LWB adds 16 inches and a lot of weight. Add the seats and so forth, and the LWB passenger model is bound to be much slower than what I am driving.
I liked the review, I wish Ford well in this innovative vehicle.

Yup, guessing the LWB passenger van is hundreds of lbs heavier where the short cargo van would be a hot rod in comparison. I'd be interested to see what it would do with the Ecoboost engine.
If you are used to larger (and/or older) vehicles the TC would feel pretty tight and nimble in normal driving situations for sure.
Although it's innovative for the US market, little vans like this have been used in Europe and Asia for many years.
I wish Ford well with the TC also but always hoped they would build it in the US...many years ago it was rumored they would build it in Wayne, MI alongside the Focus. I am seeing many TC's and big Transits on the road around Detroit these days which is a good thing for future parts and service availability.

As you suggest, compared to my 98 Explorer, the Connect is a speedster.
I first saw various mini vans in the 80s while working in Europe. I was pretty thrilled to finally see them reach the U.S. but, like you, I would like them even better if they were made in America.
And you have a nice Thanksgiving as well.
