new injectors no start

Installed new baby swamps. Truck fired and ran for a few minutes then died. Started right back up, figured it was air in the system. Ran a few more minutes then died and won't restart. HPOP is full, electric fuel system is working, wait to start light comes on and the tach shows rpm. I've cranked on a it for several 20-30 sec sessions. Any suggestions? Swamps won't answer their phone on any line, guessing early holiday? Real convienent

Yep, she smokes while cranking. Tries to hit occasionally, but it's rare. Borrowed an AE, i can get it to connect but won't show codes or read any data

Did you pull an oil galley plug to bleed the air?

If it was running after you put it back together and it stalled, air in the HPO system is not likely your issue. Make sure you're getting fuel pressure at the rails, make sure you're getting HPO pressure as well. I'm guessing you're getting both because you say it is making smoke when you crank it.

Look at all your electrical connections, especially the ICP, IPR and valve cover gasket connections. I'm guessing something is loose or burned up.

When it was running did it run like it should or was it running poorly?

First time it was running it was rough. Just got it to start again and it smooth but died again after a min. Electric fuel and I'm getting 70psi. Not sure on the hpop pressure. Connectors look good

Unplug the ICP and try it. If it runs with the ICP unplugged, but not with it connected, then the ICP is bad.

Still no go. Tried swapping cps for giggles. Didn't help either. Is it possible that I damaged the injectors somehow and now it won't start. Be nice if the ae would work

Theres air in your system, it will take a while but it will start. Fill the hpop rails and hpop reservoir with oil and give it a try.

I also think it may be air. It has taken me as long as 2 hours to get one fired up after injectors were out.

Is it normal.for it start then not start with air? Also, is my fluke capable of catching the injector voltage? Too slow? What if I set it to record min/Max?

I filled the rails before starting but i didn't fill the farthest foward, slightly uphill, holes. Could that be an issue?

Probably fired on what you put in there, then got to the air. Keep your batteries charged and just keep cranking in 15-20 second bursts. Wait a few minutes in between cranking to let the starter cool down.

He has had it running and idling and then it died. I don't think it's air, but hey, I guess it doesn't hurt to keep trying. Just don't burn up the starter trying to get it to fire.

Did you try unplugging the ICP?
