So, since it has come up multiple times here, perhaps you could inquire about fuel tanks?

Size?
Option for larger?
Option for two tanks?

And most important at least for me, is the 2017 fuel tank the same as the 2011-2016 tanks?

I'd really not be happy buying another Titan (only because of the price).
One way or the other my Titan will come out of the current truck, but I would like to just swap it into the next truck.

Good questions Duane. What I'm wondering about is when the order guide comes out. Josh is bound by a non disclosure agreement but the order guide will certainly free up all the info we need. When do they usually come out relative to the order banks opening?

I think in the past the order guides come out about 6 months in advance, so if we are looking at a fall run of the new model, I would think it is safe to guess that the order guide could be out by April.

One thing the order guide will not tell us is if the tanks are the same, not talking volume here, but the physical shape, sender and mounting etc.

From what I could tell, the CCSB tanks will be larger.

Time will tell. For me, the fall delivery estimate probably means they start building in July or August.

That time frame does not help me for the trips I do every year that I really want a new truck for. So I may just let the rest of the crowd jump on the initial trucks, see what the issues are and wait for Job 2, which is what I did with the current truck.

I actually waited a bit longer then Job 2, I had a heads up that the electric rear window was coming November 1st, so I waited to put my order in to get that option.

I hear you. It will likely open to late to be useful for me this year too. A fall delivery won't allow me to tow with it and it's no fun getting a new vehicle in the fall up north only to be covered in salt and sand within a month. What all this means for me is a Feb of 17 order for an April delivery. I'm not a patient person, but getting a new truck in the fall trumps that for me. I also figure the wait will allow some possible incentives to kick in and perhaps some Job 2 additions.

How long do you think it will be before the Job 2 trucks are built? I may wait until the winter / early spring as well.

IIRC
The 2011 model year hit the streets around December 2009
The Job 2 start up was around August of 2010
And the last update for the 2011 model year was November 2010

I hope that they run the truck in colder than -20F temps... At least it explains why they don't think a winter front is needed, even in Northern Canada and Alaska...

Thanks for sharing that video. Since I have a 2015 I am in no hurry to be first in line for a 2017. I did have a first run 2011, but the one I ended up keeping and trading in for my first run 2015 was a Job 2 2011. (Built January 2011) Really excited about this new Super Duty coming out regardless though.

Probably right. Good thing there is a lot of room to grow (power wise) with the 6.7.
