Its colder out side, the oil is thicker. Worry when it goes the other way.

I'm glad it was you that chimed in. It's never done this before running 5w40. This was at operating temp.

If you have no other concerns its normal. When you have leaks ipr% will tend to be higher then expected.
You dont say what year the truck is however.
On the idel issue first thing is disconnect the icp and see if it gets corrected.

Remember ipr is the action the pcm is commanding, icp is the result of the command.
Ipr is no more then a metered oil leak from the high pressure pump back to the main sump (oil pan)

Truck is a 2006. Truck would almost stall driving home this morning. If I coast IPR would drop down to 17 -20% and would run like it had a miss or was going to stall. Strong diesel smell and white haze when warming up but I just figured it was cold outside. Something is wrong with it. I watch everything close and it's off.

Great info. So now we know what your chasing.
Check ficm voltage.
What is eot and ect while its going on?
Try disconnecting the icp. To see whats going on.
Try disconnecting the ebp as well.

FICM volts always good 49.5. It seems like the truck is having a harder time getting up to temp even though I'm running a mishomoto 200 deg stat. Didn't have trouble last year. I might point out that I'm running Matts 8k tow tune but have been for 3 years. It worried me enough this morning on the way home that I didn't stop for my coffee.

How are you check voltage?
Have you checked it at 2k rpm in neutral?
Try the other items as well.
Try pluging in the block heater as well.
My guess is a stiction issue but not completely sure.

It's plugged in at home but didn't have one at work. I use my Torque Pro for everything. What do you want me to check at 2k in neutral and at operating temp or cold start.

If your talking about the FICM it was replaced 2 years ago it's Ed's. It's always been solid starts at 48.5 and will hold 49-49.5 when driving.
