JP, I like that patina on that faded yellow paint. How does it run? what's in it? Are you going to keep the exterior like that or is a paint job in the future?

Thanks. Truck has a flathead v8. Engine runs well, and I drive it as often as I can. Generally that's only on the weekends though. I agree that the patina looks nice. But there's rust there too, and I just can't have that. So I do plan to eventually bang out the dents, repair the rusted areas, and put a fresh coat of yellow paint on it.

Some gorgeous trucks out there.
I wish this thread was around a couple years ago to keep me motivated during my build. It can be very disheartening as you take 1 step forward and 2 back so often. In the end tho what great pieces of old iron they are. To all still toilng...don't quit.
In the beginning...
...and just after driving around the block for the first time. 5 years to rebuild and nearly 30 since it was driven last.

What,, you better start the thing and put some miles on it, don't do any good being an ornament . Get out there and enjoy it.
