John, These rims are clear coated and very prone to having lots of baked on brake dust and grime as well as light surface scratches, my Lariat rims needed some TLC when I brought them home. Since they are clear coated you can get pretty good results from rubbing/polishing compounds, polish and wax.
My worst condition '04 Lariat rim, no before pics but it had 2 big scratches and lots of lighter rash as well as tons of brake dust, not too bad for an 11 year old truck rim!

Due to how the HD center caps mount (different from all the other cap styles) they tend to put rub marks on the rim. Here is a closeup of one of Mecdac's HD rims that I picked up for him. These marks get covered by the HD cap so they aren't seen.

The seller's CL ad mentions that the center caps are included but he doesn't mention the HD rim specific lug nuts, the HD caps have the nuts showing so they are a closed end chrome nut as opposed to the less than pretty standard nuts. Your 2000 EX has the course thread lugs and by '04 the trucks had gone to the fine thread lugs so even if the nuts are included (take them anyway, someone here will eventually have a use for them) you won't be able to use those HD nuts, and if you use the HD caps your standard nuts will show. So far Mark (Mecdac) has not found a chrome closed end nut with the proper course thread to go with the earlier EXs and the HD caps. Fortunately the standard center caps will fit on the HD rims when using the standard nuts as shown below.

I thought so too... Michael went and looked it over, for a whole 30 seconds and then drove off. It's a piece of s#@t. It's exactly what I want in an X but there is no way he would sigh off on it so I know it was not up to snuff

I asked the wife if I could take her Forester up there to get those things.

....she looked at me from her hospital bed with "the look."

I went back to reading the forums without another word

That's a great deal even if you don't have a V10

Thanks for the info. He did not have the lug nuts, were on the truck when totaled. He did give me the factory anti theft lug nuts that were still in the bag from the dealer. The rims look great, just need some cleaning, and two of the tires look like they have quite a bit of wear left in them. So now to see if I can find 2 used tires.

So I take it that you are the latest member to the '04 SD 18" rims on an EX club?
Don't forget to share some pictures!
