Showing my newbie status w SBF castings - are all drilled / tapped to accept a clutch pivot ball? Ready to order crate and may retain the manual for now, want to make sure I know what I'm doing before learning about it via school of hard knocks...
Mine had a standard and i changed it to automatic but it seems to me like i remember removing a bracket from the housing bolts with the pivot pin in it . Well somebody will know for sure.

No.. not all SBFs have it.... The drilled/tapped boss was omitted in like the late 80s when they went to clutch cables. There is an aftermarket bracket available though....
I don't think any roller blocks have the boss. Contact whomever you're gonna get the crate engine from and verify?
