Isn't there a risk of things not getting properly lubricated? If all the oil is in the back of the engine, the front wouldn't starve? and the rear pistons would have to push the oil down instead of air at that angle? Wouldn't that cause problems?
Starvation from oil running away from the pickup on some vehicles is a real concern. On diesel X's the pickup is at the back so no concern there and they have a deep pocket in the back of the pan. The pistons move to fast for the oil to fill the bottom of the cylinder and the piston have to push it back down. Think subaru and cornering.
I've done that trail, not in the Ex, but on my dirtbike. Piece o' cake! I don't have the patience for rock crawling anymore. Hate waiting in line for everyone else, so I'd rather see more of the countryside or trails from my bike.

Everything's pressure lubed so the front won't starve at all from being high, the rear will have no problems either.
I've seen vehicles on their side, even somewhat upside down, that continue to run and sometimes manage to right themselves with the proper driving. In those cases I assume the oil pickup would be sucking air, but they kept running with no obvious signs of a problem.
