I've read about several options for ifs swaps for the 53-56 F -100. The one that intrigued me the most is the Lexus SC 300 / 400 swap. In the area I live, they are few and far between. From what I can tell, the LS400 is about 1.6" wider, otherwise it looks similar. Has anyone seen this used on our trucks?

 

I think I answered your question in a different thread but can't remember. The LS400 is a different suspension all together and wouldn't work without a lot of fab.

I'm in southwest Missouri. I was going to go to a pick n pull to measure and see what would be involved. I've always been a fan of getting wisdom from others who have tried things before.

 

I looked into the LS as well and its upper control arm mounts to the lexus frame and isn't one unit like the cradle on the SC. I checked car-part.com for you and found about 20 sc300 and 400's in Missouri but i don't know how close they were to you. Go to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market and search lexus SC for an upper control arm and that will give you a list you can call to see how much for the whole cradle
