Coolant fan

Hi all, I have a 1998 Lincoln Navigator. Can anyone let me know if it is normal for the fan to start as soon as I start it up from cold. Have only had the vehicle for a few weeks and it has done this since I've had it, not sure if it is right or not. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It is normal until radiator heat is sensed then it goes into temperature modulation.
There is a reason why it works this way.

If it does not wok you will hear the excess noise from running full time.
