Depressurizing fuel system?

Depressurizing fuel system?
I'm changing the fuel filter on the old truck and I am not sure if I have to switch off the inertia switch behind the passenger side kick panel and depressurize the system or if I can just pop the filter off and pop the new one in. I've read several threads but no one ever says it. Only place I have seen it is on this video
Main reason I'm doing the filter is I am having stalling issues when I first start up some days. But I found out that its probably the butterfly valve that is gummed up probably and the fact that far as I know my dad has never replaced the filter in the years we've had it (supposed to be done every 15K miles) so...yeah.

Nothing to worry much about.
Go to the fuel rail test port and bleed the pressure off.
You will get gas running out the lines anyways until the local area clears of it's volume.
Then remove the large air hose from the throttle body, spray clean the throttle body inside and the plate until it runs out clean.
Next remove the Intake Air Control and clean the intake air control valve being sure the internal slide valve moves freely.
Good luck.
