New 2016 on order
Hi all,
Been reading on forum for sometime now. Reading here helped me decide on my next truck.. in October I placed order for a 2016 f250
Crew cab, FX4 lariat. Shadow black with the caribou bottom. Love this color combo. Its a 6.2 with 4.30 locker. Can't wait. I will post pictures as soon as I get it. Dealer says it's due week of 11/30. The wait is killing me.

The axles are on a back order and it is the most popular truck out there so a delay in getting your order is reasonable. While each dealership can prioritize their own orders, you don't get to jump in front of other orders at other dealerships. I tell people to expect 12 weeks currently for a SD Pick up. I don't want to over promise. Even in really good production for less popular models 6-8 weeks is normal.
But congrats! A few months to get the perfect truck is a smart move IMO! One you won't regret.

I agree! I have no problem with the wait for my new truck. I do not think 8 to12 weeks is unreasonable. Just anxious to receive it, that's all.
Forgot to metion, I order the Camper Package, Lariat Ultimate, rear heated seats, spray in bed liner..and I k ow I'm forgetting a few things. The way I look at it, I couldn't build this truck myself in 8-12 years!!! So, 8-12 weeks is reasonable!

Welcome to the forum, PAracephan; congrats on ordering! It sounds like you'll be bringing home your new rig soon. If you'd like, I'd be happy to provide you with an update on the status of your truck's arrival. Since you're a new member, you may not have access to PMs yet. Send an email to custserv@ford.com with your VIN; be sure to put my name ("Crystal") in the subject line. This email address isn't actively monitored, so post here once you've sent the message. That's how I'll know to go looking for it.
Congrats again!

Like the way you think, sir! Most looking for forward to the 4.30 gears. Bronze Fire is so nice too. Kinda wanted Green gem with the caribou bottom, but wifey didn't like it. Black it was. I'm crazy nuts about keeping the cars perfectly clean all the time, so black doesn't scare me. I've had so many black cars over time...

So, Ford changed engine size again??
Last I heard the newer ones were a 6.7 I think?
I know I'm a semi Newbie with to diesels, but based on the 6.0 reputation and the since then changes to 6.4, then the 6.7, (if I'm correct), I think I'll stick with my 2000 7.3 with 149K on it.
And at $20K, a year a go, it's paid for. Any comments are welcome
