New ecu programming
Hey guys
A little help please
A friend of mine {yeah really} has a 2001 f150
first the o2 sensor code came on
then the idle sensor
he took it to the shop and they replaced the throttle body
took it to another shop and they said after all that that it was the computer
ok so he went to the ford house and bought a computer
replaced the thing and it won't start
put the old one back start the truck and it runs like s@#$
put the new one in and it won't start
went back to the ford house the guy behind the counter says oh yeah you have to program the new one
he was lucky to have caught my friend on a good day otherwise its a beating.
so short story long

Hi 99expedition and welcome to FTE 
It will have to be programmed by someone with the proper scan tool to do it.....usually a Ford dealer. The new PCM wont recognize the ignition key until it's programmed. Take all keys for the truck along when it gets programmed.
