Rear Seats
I just bought a 1988 BII for parts. Removing the front seats and the bottoms of the rear seats has been a common sense job. The seat backs in the rear don't want to come out. Haynes, Chilton and Clymer are no help. It apears that I need to remove a bolt which requires a 50 torx bit but this bolt will only budge about 1/2 turn. Anyone have any success getting trhe seat backs in the rear out.

Do you have an impact tool with the torx attachment? I used to have a steel screwdriver that was spring loaded, that you turned while smacking it with a hammer that would break loose about any torx, phillips, standard, or allen that you could find an attachment for. After I broke it free I would zip it out with the air impact. It had an 85% success rate. I dont know what the tool is acctually called but it was wonderfully simlpe.
