I've been looking at some parts for my 59, has anyone had used an ABS headliner instead of the original style, sounds like it might hold up better. LMC offers one, also wonder about the quality of their heater blower motor. Any help appreciated.
While I have not installed a head liner in a '59 truck, I have put one in a '65 truck, which is likely similar. It was an OE type fiber board style(LMC) and was a total PITA.
They are VERY delicate and will scratch or break easily if you are not very careful. They also do not fit exact, I had to do some trimming.
I would look at other options if I had to do it again. The ABS one would definitely hold up better over time.
