03 Nav heating

I replaced my heater motor, thermostat and antifreeze and if I'm driving I get warm to Lukewarm heat. But if I stop and idle for to long, it gets cold. Any suggestions?

The heater core is air bound. Go for a drive on the highway and it should clear up. Make sure the fill bottle level is up before you go.

It does get warm once your driving but it cools off as soon as it sits and idles for a moment.

Do both heater hoses going into the fire wall get nice and burning hot?

The heater hose are cold, not even Lukewarm when the vehicle is idling.

You do not have sufficient coolant flow through the heater core.

Here are the usual suspects in order of probability:

1. Low coolant.
2. Air bubble in heater loop.
3. Defective or improperly installed thermostat.
4. Restriction or clog in the heater loop.
5. Faulty water pump.
6. Everything else.
