Hi,
as I am approaching finishing getting my truck ready for a road worthy.
One of the two last things I need to do is a new exhaust.
The original exhaust went over and around the rear axle.
However I was thinking of having the exhaust coming out to one side before the rear wheel.
However some on told me that this can cook the rear wheel bearings and heat the rear axle oil. Has anyone ever had this problem?

No. Given the amount of free air under these trucks, the likelhood of cooking bearings and oil due to the exhaust's proximity is 99.99999 percent fallacy.
