Searched and didn't find the answer. I replaced my bumper with a 08 bumper and now my sensors don't work. It's possible I have the harness flipped on the wrong side.
Does anyone know if the sensor plugs have to correspond to a specific sensor?
I am going to guess you bent or damaged a pin on the connector taking them apart or putting them back together. they are tiny little buggers.
Set parking brake, Turn the key on engine off, put in reverse. Go put your ear next to each sensor and listen for the clicking, The one not clicking is your issue.
Each sensor has a specific plug. Based on the 2005 wiring diagram that worked for my 2004, it goes as follows:
LH Outer: BN/PK, WH/LG, DG/YE
LH Inner: BN/PK, DG/WH, DG/YE
RH Outer: BN/PK, DB/YE, DG/YE
RH Inner: BN/PK, WH/LB, DG/YE
I got it mixed up when swapping the harness over from the old bumper. Thankfully it is long enough that I was able to swap it back to the proper orientation without having to disconnect the license plate lights. All four plugs were difficult to seat in all the way till the plug clears the plastic tab on the sensor. One was so bad that I ended up pulling the white bumper in the plug so it would snap into place. For that one, I wrapped it in electrical tape with some dielectric grease to keep it weather proof.
