Question for NumberDummy
I have a 1977 F250 with a 351M engine, manual transmission. I need a separator plate and they are apparently hard to come by. Have a line on a 1980 F250 with "3.8 M family Engine" will that work? If not, any suggestions? Thanks.

33rnch welcome to FTE, FYI Number dummy is good at locating part, not really... he is REALLY friggin awesome at locating parts. lol
But he is NOT the only guy to ask, there area # of very capably folks on here that can locate parts. And looks like lafermedavid is one of them.
mikeo0o0o0 has the same power to locate parts and does it all the time, ND will post a way for you to do it yourself.

Thanks 77&79F250, but it's not the same as mine. Mine is very similar to the 351M auto without the inspection plate opening, but more important, I hear that the starter mounting holes on the auto are slightly inset from the manual. Still lookin'.

I have heard that there is definitely a difference in the plate between a auto and manual set up, same for the starter.
