Steering linkage idea

I've been reading up on a few things but this idea spawned from a conglomeration of everything I've found.
This will be a 6" lifted ttb half ton

I'd use 2wd f350 steering linkage and ream the holes out so I can run them on top instead of the bottom so I'll have a better angle.

Any reason this wouldn't work? I'm having a lot of issues with the stock stuff.

My other idea was to run a straight tie rod across but I figured that wouldn't work well with the IFS.

I see an issue with the steering arm attaching to the bar figure out how to flip over the tie rod at that end

You would need a tapered reamer

Do you have the diameter measure for the big end and small end of both that would be a good place to start

I can use the reamer to get the angle and to the tre flip. I found several write ups on this procedure on fsb and many were using the f350 components.

My other idea was to modify the spindle so I could use f350 d60 tie rod and drag link setup but I'm thinking that may not work with the flexing ttb. Though I've seen a similar setup on a Ranger or Explorer.

Are you trying to put the bar above the steering arm

Something like this is what I had in mind.

Well not exactly like that. I'd want the tie Rod to connect the two steering knuckles like what you'd see on a 78 truck.

You need to flip the tie rod over they should point the same direction you'll get binding issues otherwise

That's what I'm looking to accomplish here. I was going to do the standard end flip like I'm seeing done and then use f350 tie rods rather than the stock f150 ones so they'll be stronger.
