My mother in law has a 2011 Edge. She can control the climate using the right screen from the gauge cluster. On my wife's 15 Navi, that isn't even an option. How did this get cut out?
It is likely because the controls are already redundant on the center stack. You have the Sync interface and proper dials.
OR.... Matthew Mcconaughey doesn't like his HVAC controls on the steering wheel and had Lincoln take them out.
I mean how can you adjust the climate control, when you are doing this the whole time anyway?
I think Matthew Mcconaughey needs to call Lincoln and have them add it back in. It was already a feature in a 4 year older Ford. It was always easier to adjust (to me) using the steering wheel vs the center stack.
That and adaptive cruise, push button access to get in and out from third row are just a few things I miss on our '16 exp max limited that my '13 flex limited had that I traded in? Not even platinum trim had it? My only real dissapointment with this vehicle is that the trim lines have less content then in other ford products. I cannot get all the "toys" that older ford model lines offer eg: limited options now are what xlt used to be, xlt is what XL used to be and so on. For what Price is for vehicle it's very dissapointing but we needed the space as we have a large family.
Changing music would also be redundant, but I can still control it at the steering wheel. Plus, there are too many button and I get confused But I miss an active door unlock so I don't have to take the key out of my pocket.
