There is those two only??
Researching has lead me to that conclusion ...
However, I have something different, it looks like my Teak chucks.
Close spotty grain, and it's horizontal.
Soon as I can get an image of it I'll post it to see if any of you guru's know what it is.
Here's the deal, I purchased a Rosewood Cruise Control Steering wheel, The CC buttons and Rosewood was broken, advertised as "No Cracks, Breaks or Tears and is in Good Condition" ... An untrue statement, so I confronted them, They agreed, And sent me another... I have never seen this woodgrain, it's definitely not Rosewood or Burlwood.
Thing is I like it!
And it's also in near perfect condition.
What you may have is a cruise control steering wheel from a late 1970s Ford. They have the same design as the 1980 - 1986 F150s have, but with a different wood grain pattern.
Or you may have a cruise control steering wheel from a 1980s Ford Econoline. They also use the same design, but the wood grain there is also different.
Either wheel will work on your truck, but the rest of the wood grain dash trim for the 1980 - 1986 F-Series ONLY comes in the Rosewood or Burlwood.
I'm trying to get images, Gotta wait till my neighbor gets home so she can snap a shot for me... Our camera is in storage with the rest of our household goods.
The Horn pad on top is from an 80's Econoline,it's the exact same as mine.I'm not sure on exact years though as i'm not an Econoline man.The bottom one is an 80-84 Rosewood horn pad.
Horn pads came in a couple varieties through 80-86
80-84:
-Black
-Rosewood Grain No CC
-Rosewood Grain w/CC
-Silver XLS No CC
Not too sure if they offered a Silver XLS horn pad with CC from factory.
85-86:
-Black
-Burlwood grain w/CC
I'm not entirely sure if they offered a non/CC Burlwood or if they used a black pad.Maybe someone else could clear that up.
I agree with Fordzilla. The top pad is from a 1980s Econoline.
Add to the list of dash/wheel trim for the 1980s F-Series the gray "Waffle" pattern typically found on the Custom and later XL models.

YES, Ford did use a Burlwood non-C/C horn pad. It had the wood grain around the perimeter of the horn pad, but the whole center was black. I came across a bunch of those before I finally found a good Burlwood C/C horn pad.
Even though my '85 has the Burlwood wood grain, I still like the Rosewood better; it looks more like real wood. The Rosewood also has the chrome "accents" around the trim pieces, whereas the Burlwood has a more modern, blacked out look.
The Burlwood isn't bad; its not as pronounced as the Rosewood, but it does tend to fade a whole lot quicker than the earlier Rosewood. It's also interesting that Ford used Rosewood only for the 1980 - 1984 years. Ford used Burlwood for the 1970s trucks, 1985-6, and then for the 1987-1991 redesign.

Yes, they did offer it, however it is a very rare piece indeed.

Yep, they had non/CC Burlwood.
And I agree, the top horn pad is from an Econoline. I do not have a parts book for the econoline so cannot confirm however.

I painted a van horn pad to match my xls trim in my truck. I have seen three xls trucks in the junkyard. One had no air and no cruise, the other two had air but no cruise.

You know, I'm not into the silver look, But that don't look to bad ...
Good job.
I'm going to wind up stuck with this Econoline pad, so maybe I'll paint it to match the interior color or something, Everything I have recently purchased for my 86 is Rosewood to replace the old nasty burlwood that was in it.
