I get its a Ford item I just was curious what folks use it for. I guess I could use it to lock in my 5th Wheel hitch that sits on the factory installed hitch. There isn't a lockable way to secure it the way it's designed by PullRite. Thanks
I see it on eBay for $120 w/ free shipping. Appears to be a good price.

It's been a year but I think I paid right at $100 at Ford. Our dealer is a Costco affiliated dealer and we get a discount with the Costco card. And YES, it would work around your 5er hitch.
So I bought the Truck Bed lock off of eBay and installed it today. Mounting was a PITA as it required a 1/4" T40 bit to mount to the truck bed and standard is a 3/8 bit so had to rig it to tighten but all worked out.
As you noted it does work well to lock my 5W hitch to the truck which was a concern but now isn't. Thanks for the insight and recommendation.
basically you can put it wherever you want, but in my opinion all the pictures showing locations are bad spots. It may not matter to most people but I happen to like this product.
I have one on the passenger side and would like to have one on the drivers side as well but unfortunately installed my trailer plug before I knew about this product and of course put it in a bad spot so i cant get a drivers side box without moving it and leaving an unnecessary hole in the box. Just something for people to consider and keep in mind when installing one of these plugs if you would like to use the undercover swing out toolboxes which are pretty awesome and very handy in my opinion.
Like everything else in life. If you don't know, what you don't know, then proper planning never happens and in these cases we have install items in places that made sence when we did it but do not any longer given the new plan we develope once we come across a new solution to our problem. The swing out box is a perfect example. Oh Well!
