Drop air pump-Keep AC-Belt size?

I am thinking about dropping the air pump on my '95 4.9 serpentine system. I am keeping the AC compressor though. Anyone know what size/number of belt that I will need?

Thanks
Tracy

Crud! I did this on a 91 and wrote the belt size on the belt routing tag. I sold that truck today! I believe it was between 83 and 84 inches, but could be wrong. The truck had A/C.

Grab you a piece of string and run it like the belt and measure the string. Will get you pretty close. Have had to do such as I have used some non-standard setups.

Have someone hold the tensioner back in its normal position when you use the string. I think I actually used my old belt when I did it and then marked the overlap point. This made it easy to get an accurate measurement.

I did this on mine but then I sold the truck. Fortunately I sold it to a friend who has it in a billion pieces at the moment. I'll try to get him to check the # on the belt.

He works third shift so he's asleep currently. As soon as he gets up I'll get you an answer. Had you asked me a year ago, I would have known the answer!

A gates # K060960 or equivalent is what you need.

I vaguely remember having to slightly grind down a bolt head on the alternator bracket because it wanted to slightly touch the belt running at the new angle.

While bolting my friend's truck back together a couple hours ago it dawned on me that this belt may not work for you. We did ditch the AIR pump and retain the AC but I also had to space the alternator bracket over to clear the header that we also installed.

You might wanna get that belt and one an inch shorter or so just in case. Sorry, I didn't mean to lie to you, I had just completely forgotten about moving that bracket.
