Hi all,Long time no write.
I have had the jack-it leveling kit for about a year now.About a month after i put the kit in the front springs started to make a clanging sound when i go over small bumps.Kinda sounds like a real loose caliper.I have checked everything under the truck and there is nothing loose. All that i can think of is that when weight is taken off the springs and then comes back down the springs clang together.Any one else have this problem or know of a fix?
hey nick. thanks for replying to my thread wow no answers. I like Bush too. i was being smart *** because i have asked a question on here twice and i cant get no response. i have a 4" superlift on my truck.
There was a guy who had the jack-it springs actuallly break.
Quite a few others have noise from the trac bar bracket not being torqued down..........I think on one or two trucks the trac bar bolt ended up braking....
Thanks for the tips, but just curious about the guy that actually broke his Jack-It spring pack... He must have been doing some serious wheelin to break that chunk of steel.
I just installed this kit on my SD, and it works great. I do have a light popping sound, but I know its the track bar. On my Jeep, this bar needs to be extremely tight in order not to make that pop sound. I'm sure it holds true on the Superduty. When I get my alignment, I'll have it checked out.
As for the broken trackbar...I talked with Jack-it about this. I guess the early 99's has this problem. From what I understand, the bracket was on the axle end of the trackbar and they commonly broke. If it was a post-99 that broke, I guess my theory gets thrown out.
my truck is a 01 so im not sure about the track bar.I think i will call jack-it though and see whats up.There is no need to sell junk.Thank for all the info guys.

Actually he said he didn't even off road it hard or anything like that. I'll try and search for his post later on today (I can't remember if it was on TDS..).
Hey Nick, Did you put the kit on yourself? I just called a place in Waltham and got a qoute from them for my 99 PSD to level out the front.
Also, do you have the 4" blocks in the back? it looks almost higher in the front.
I work in Boston and live in the wonderful city of Worcester (Woosta to the locals) and have been asking guys at the local spring shops for advice & pricing.
Nitwit
I did put the kit in myself.I wasnt really that hard.I do have the 4in blocks in the rear. The fender flares that i put on sit about a inch and a half lower than the actual rear fender.Kinda stupid if you ask me.But as for the install just go for it.I would wait for cooler weather though.Worcester has to be as humid as Woburn.
