I own a 1967 F100 custom cab with a swapped in 351W 2BBL (by previous owner). I will be installing a custom 2.5" exhaust from the manafolds back to two Flowmaster 40 series mufflers dumpped at the axle. My question is what mod should i do next?
I want to keep the stock heads for now. Any ideas?
my friend is giving me a great deal on a holly truck avenger carb, what would be the best intake for it and my stock heads? and how agressive can I go with the cam woith the stock heads.
What size carb.?
My machinist says to be safe he suggests staying at .500 lift or under on stock heads (it's always a good idea to double check).
If your on a budget I would suggest a Crane Energizer kit in the 270's series. Approx. $100 with lifters.
Edelbrock dual plane intake or maybe a Holley Dual Plane.
I would swap in a Comp XE262H and a 650 Vacuum secondary carb on top of an Edelbrock Performer. These will work great with your stock heads and dual exhaust. From your stock 2bbl, it will be a day and night difference!
I agree with the intake and carb but i would go with a good electronic ignition system first, if you gona give it more air/gas to burn, you need to give it a way to burn it! and what about headers for your new exaust? DW
I will be getting an MSD ignition soon, and I really want headers but I am unsure of which ones will fit my application

Give SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT a call they can hook you up. i've spent way to much money with them over the years, I personaly always liked the (HEADMAN) and (HOOKER) headers best, but that not to say there arenot other good ones out there!
good luck with! DW
