Highboy Front "Add A Leaf"

I am not totally in love with the factory "rake" of my truck.

The truck ('75 F250 4WD) has all new factory height springs (no rear overloads), and I would like to bring the front up. Bronco Graveyard has 1.5" add a leafs; I've searched, but haven't found any threads with the specific answers I am looking for.

Will I really get 1.5" of lift?

Do I need longer shocks? I have read that the later trucks definitely require a longer shock; any experience on Highboys?

Thanks in advance!

This is why I asked.

What did you end up doing to rectify this?

Are there any other add a leaf options out there, or will I have to have something custom made at a spring shop?

Maybe ck out any local spring shop and get a set made to fit you truck, width is 3", length is the issue Bud Mud had. But a local shop should be able to cut to fit.

Might have to visit a local JY and just get an a short leaf off the bottom of the stack? Should not need longer shocks for a 1" to 1.5 lift.

Rich is correct on his follow up statement on my issue with the length of the spring,i was going to cut the extra length off but if you see it in person and not the pic, that extra that is up on the factor bolt loop part of the spring is what is the only thing that is lifting the front up to level it. The add a leaf is the exact arch of the factory wore out springs so,if i were to cut it off the front will drop down a bit. So far it hasnt hurt anything,i dont like how it looks but i only drive about 1000 miles a year. To do it right and i will some day and thats either re-arch the old springs or buy new. GOOD LUCK

Hmm. Finding anything for this truck in a local junkyard is not reality, unfortunately.

All of the local dentsides died of cancer years ago.

There's a good spring shop not far from me though. I'll go over there and see what they say.

Thanks for the help guys.
