Any good spring shop can make up whatever you need. Adding springs is easy enough for them to do, just don't get carried away your truck will be awful to drive when not loaded.
Your front springs should be 3"s wide, and check Skyjacker or superlift for add a leafs for your F-250. I know JCWhitney sells some and so does Broncograveyard.com, but not sure if they'll have some for a F-250. They could range from 1-3"s of lift.
I know there is a variety of spring number that came with them. Mine has 6 in the rear with an overload spring and 6 in the front. Is this set up normal or should there be more?
Hello Rob, I used to work at a truck equipment install/repair shop in OKC.
we had a place that we took stuff to that needed spring work and they did it on the cheap. I priced it out and it was just almost as cheap to let them do it then to buy the stuff and do it ourselves. So if you live around a city there is probably some place that can do the work.
I had a 1978 that I added a leaf from Rough Country, cost around $150.00.
I took them off after 6 months, road very stiff and rough, it did lift the front higher than the rear, I think most 78-79 are higher in the back than front. It forced the front leaf out the factory inverted arch to an arch like the rear leafs, just a FYI.
