Probably not.
How did he make the jump from new HPFP to engine?
He hasn't really he was just saying that was what usually was the case.
I'm taking it back Monday and hes going to check filters.
One of the codes was a faulty injector so hes thinking the damage is already done.

So got the bad news today................
HPFP blew apart sending steel into the injectors. $8500 to fix.
Found shavings in the filter.
The worst part about it , is it could happen again 2 days after its fixed theres no cure for it.

In the lower 48 you can usually turn it over to your truck insurance and they will pay since it is something catastrophic in nature.
Not sure about where you are.

No our insurance only covers body damage and personal injury , nothing mechanical.
Should be able to sue Ford for having such a crappy design that allows this to happen.

How many miles on it, I'd check the rockers, and if your tuner allows I'd remove the EGR coolers.

Serpentine belt. Have them probably replace the rockers since they will have a lot of it apart.

If there is a squeal then it is probably the idlers....that would be a warranty item if you have any left on the motor.
As part of that should also be a new belt under warranty.

With it being a 450, check the front cover for cavitation.

One of the biggest costs of this repair is the injectors, the shop says they have no way of knowing which ones might be contaminated so they replace them all?
Doesn't sound like a very good plan to me?

Any kind of fuel contamination means pretty much the entire fuel system gets replaced. And as Senix said, this is also true with Dodge and GM diesel trucks. This is not a Ford problem.
