Hey guys got a new update. So last Friday I was driving up the highway and my engine blew a rod through the block. I took her to get rebuilt and apparently the engine is made out of many other parts like a salad. So we're are going to cam it out to make it sound beefier

Hey all, here's an update on the truck. The engine is all rebuilt and almost ready to be started, Mechanic rushed the wiring so something isn't right. We put in the NOS original heater, new gauges, fixed the manual cabin vent so it is now functional, and the engine bay has been painted I will post a pic of how beautiful the engine looks now.

Update: this is a late update but I got the truck back a few days I posted on the 6th. She runs great and sounds healthy. Right now I'm waiting for my new HEI distributor that comes in today and I need to take it back to my mechanic to get it flushed since im just breaking it in. I want to put a glasspack or a cherry bomb extreme to make her sound loud and proud

Thanks man! I'm loving the f100 club, I want a 64 impala ss 409 personally but this f100vis really fun to own, I get so many looks and compliments even with the weird looking yellow paint job

Update: so I have ordered an HEI distributor unit from skip white on eBay and had it installed today and it fit nicely. Oil has been changed after breaking in the new rebuilt engine and now the gas tank is out to see what is wrong with it. The tank is really rusted so I'm going to order a tank and sending unit, does anyone know a place besides LMC and Mid-Fifty ? One other thing, the old distributor it had is an autolite, all I know is that it is a classic since it was made, I believe in 1969. Can anyone help me decode it? thank you I'll post the pics in a bit.

this is what came off of my engine, I would like to know what it belonged to, basically decode it, thanks guys.... also how much should I sale this for, I found an autolite distributor without the vacuum advance, cap, and wires sold for $85. Pretty insane.

Hey guys! So lately i have just been using the truck to go to school and work. Great daily drive. Get lots of compliments on it which is crazy especially since it isn't the prettiest out there. So I'm here today to ask, and hopefully someone can answer, does the fan shroud from a 56 f100 fit a 54 f100? keep in mind my truck has 351w and the radiator is off of ebay. Some guy is selling a shroud cheap so i wanted to know if anyone knows if not then my best bet will to go to the guy and try sizing the shroud itself. Thanks guys.

thanks for the reply and sorry for this late reply haha. But I never ended up getting the shroud since the engine is really healthy.

Hey guys quick update on how the f100 is doing. Socshes been my driver for work or for when I go out to the store. I've been getting many compliments on how she looks. I just recently purchased a 61 mercury comet to fix up and make quick buck to finally purchase the needed missing parts on the f100 and then get it ready for paint hopefully next summer. I also just recently bought a glove box that has the hole for a lock ****. Does anyone have one by any chance with keys? Thanks.
