Hey guys, My 79 F350 came with a 351m with a 2bbl carb, I took the 351m out and swapped in a 460 with a 4bbl Holley carb.
I used the transmission kickdown linkage that came with the 460 and it works perfectly but my throttle cable is too short, if I hook it up to the carb the gas pedal sticks up way too high.
Could someone point me in the right direction? I've searched google and ebay and had no luck.

Hmm.. Welding isn't really an option for me right now. I do have a parts truck which is an F150 but the throttle arm is slightly different than the one on the F350.
I'm wondering what did the trucks that came from the factory with 460's have for throttle linkage?

1979 f-150 the 351 m and 400 used the same cable but the 460 was a little longer , they used the same throttle arm on both . I had one of each , 351m and 460 , at the same time and found that difference in them . When i removed the 351 from my 79 bronco and replaced it with the 460 i had to use the 460 cable . The replacements i have found were not for the 460. JIM
