Ford mechanics. please help.
Need ford mechanic;
Im setting the timing on my 01 ford explorer 4.0 engine.
Crankshaft at 12 o:clock.
Drivers side camshaft set with ford timing kit. Rear camshaft set with ford tool, only fits one way. Placed front of camshaft ford tool on to hold cam in place. Moved ford rear tool to passenger front camshaft; only fits one way. Crankshaft still at 12 o:clock with locking tool in place. Passenger front cam seems to have spring tension. Everything tightened. I dont want to put the timing chain cover on until I know it is right. Question; (is it)?
