You have a good set up for gas mileage. I would check your rear axle look for a tag and see what gears you have. And see if its a 9 inch thats a front load rear or a Dana 44 there is a rear cover to cover the gears. I had a 77 F150 302 c4 with a Dana 44 rear end.
