New to the forum and new to the diesel trucks. Purchased a 2015 with the 6.7 Powerstroke and it has issues of 'Dieseling' while running down the road. Has done it from day one and the local dealership doesn't have an answer as to why it does it.
Anyone else having this issue and has anyone heard of a fix?
It act's just like a gasoline engine would when you shut it off and it continues to run(dieseling) but does this at different speeds from town to highway. Just starts loosing power & chugging (dieseling like a gas engine would) for about a minute and then will stop. Seems to be getting more frequent.
Well if it continues to run after shutting off and there is nothing wrong with the ignition I would lean towards it sucking air somewhere else than the intake perhaps a line has a pin hole or a slight crack enough to allow air in.

The switch where you put your key in I meant. I've had older trucks where the switch was bad and wouldn't shut off when you turned it. Also didn't start well either.
Ah, run-on on a diesel means fuel (oil) is getting into the cylinders (or cylinder) somehow, and running on it. Either you have a leaking fuel injector, your piston rings are destroyed or a turbo seal is leaking oil into the intake.

Hope that helps...
On second thought, you didn't happen to get def-blue in the fuel, did you?
