So, I happened to buy a Stripper model F150 a couple months ago.
Paid 600 bucks for it with a annialted clutch. I tried to buy this exact truck in May, sold before I could buy it, they were asking 1200, it was everything I ever wanted in a classic pickup 300I6 3 speed on the column.
Then late June it was back up for sale for 1200 bucks, I was skeptical bout it seeing as it just sold! I called the owner and he said he purchased it for a father son project as a surprise birthday present for his 14 year old son and his son didn't like it (dumb *** kid!)
Before I could get the money it sold again. Well then late July early September it was for sale again! For 600 bucks! I spotted it within an hour of the post called the people and told them I want it, I got the cash and Id be there first thing in the morning with the cash and a trailer!
The people lent their grandson 1200 to buy it (they never laid eyes on it) their grandson had never drove a standard before let alone a three on the tree. He fried the clutch within 10 miles and the grandparents had to go up there with a wrecker and tow it back. So the grandparents were asking 600, when I got there I didn't hagle I handed them the 600 and loaded her up.
Got her home and threw a 115 dollar clutch in it and away I went until last Friday the rear main seal went out (yes Im kicking myself in the rear for not changing it out when the trans was out).
So I decided to buy an entire gasket kit and replace the valve cover, oil pan gasket ect, I'm debating on pulling the head cause it seems its been done recently.
I also recovered the dash of my truck with carpet from Walmart. Oh yeah the ignition side of the wiring fried so now im going to a DS II distributor with a GM HEI ignition control module.
im going to be slowly up loading pics to this thread. Thanks for reading fellas!
The inside of that engine looks very clean. You may have a good one there.
Thanks Franklin! The odometer says 37k so I'm figuring 137k with as many parts that are OEM, I also had to replace inner and outter tie rods. They were factory!
Looks like a deal there! I replaced what looked like original tie rods on my truck at 231,000 and 233,000. I know for a fact the inners were original, they still had the OE Ford steel tag on them! outters looked original too as one adjusting sleeve was horribly rusted up and it was obvious a wrench was never put to any of that stuff. Somebody got some good life out of those.

Thanks man! Im about to start body work soon and get it ready for paint!
Im going with a single stage enamel, 4 coats with a white top, i think it will look nice, also painting the rims white and getting some "moon" center caps!
I painted the top of my cab and tailgate with single stage urethane. Just keep the gun steady and make smooth actions and you should be fine after you practice on some cardboard with the settings lol.
