So I have a little issue I'm looking to buy one of the two trucks. One is 2013 loaded larait with13k miles and has the Tuscany black ops package. The other is a 2015 platinum and has a lift, fender flares and xd wheels with larger tires. That has 10k miles on it. The black ops only has 8 months of bumper to bumper warranty left vs the platinum with a little over 2 years left. Both are the exact same price. What one do I go with and why? This is a hard decision. Because both are basically loaded and have the same features. Only thing I can tell is the platinum has up on the ops is heated rear seats and maybe heated steering wheel. Not sure if the ops has either.
since they are the same price and basically the same mileage, go for the one with a valid factory warranty.
lift and other aftermarket addons usually void warranty.
so check that over carefully before making your choice. but i would most likely go with the 2015 if it is covered by warranty.
I agree with tjc on warranty. Check with dealership on lifts and warranty issue. Also get carfax report on both. With the 15 being the same price as the 13 I would wonder what's up. Buyer beware.
Also with larger tires. Unless computer was reprogramed for tire size the mileage could be way off
the black ops is a lariat trim with some marketing plus up's....but....when you trade it in...your going to get book on a lariat. The closest trim FORD has to the black ops is the Harley Davidson Edition which goes beyond what the black ops aftermarket add on's are.
