I have a F250 Crew cab 4X4 PSD. I need to get a set of not too aggressive all terrain tires. The issue is a lot of A/T tires tend to give you a spongy ride in the rear when towing. My '09 had a set of Hankook Dynapro ATM's and the rear axle felt like it was all over the place. Is any body here towing a little heavy (11,000lbs) with a set of A/T tires, and what brand are you running? I am looking at the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 or Nitto Terra Grappler. I am looking more for towing stability than looks. Thanks....

Interesting.... Generally Hankook Dynapro ATM's are one of the better tires for towing, traction and durability that I have used?
The Discoverer A/T3 is A popular tire with good ratings but also a more aggressive tread and had to set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my F350 when I got it and wouldn't recommend them for anything other then dry pavement use.....and now have Trail grapplers and tow significantly heavier than that and is still incredibly stable... Are you sure it's the tires?
Kind of sure, that is when the problem started and read other reviews on tirerack where other people were complaining about the same thing. Probably will go with the cooper's.
Nitto's are great, as long as you don't need traction! I have been a fan of Goodrich T/A's for years. Just make sure your tires are load range E and properly inflated.

That's about the same opinion I have of Nitto's now, the Terra's were ridiculously bad for traction in anything but dry pavement and the Trail's or not anywhere near as good for traction compared to any MT tire that I have owned.

I sell a ton of the general grabber a/t and people love them. I also really like the bfg ko2

The T/A KO is a great tire. Just a little to aggressive tread pattern. Looking for more of a crossover tire because the only dirt driving I do is to the campsite with the toy hauler.

I've had Michelin's on a Jeep Cherokee and didn't really care for them, but they are consistently rated just below the BFG's.
The tread may be more like what you are looking for.

I've never had to A/T3 but I currently have ST Maxx from Cooper and love them. They have strong sidewalls and rated E. I've had Goodrich at, toyo at and the basic styles mts and by far these are my favorite. There a little more aggressive then the at3s so not sure if it's what your looking for but Cooper does make one great tire. I haven't had any experience towing but I'm a freight forwarder and I've had a little over 3000lbs in my bed.. Maybe a little more than I should have but they held up great.
I had cooper discovery STT's on my last truck. Pretty soon my factory tires will need replaced on this truck and I will be looking for something in a cooper tire again.
Well, after considerable thought and reading mostly favorable reviews on line, I went ahead and ordered the Toyo Open Country A/T 2 tires. Hopefully these live up to expectations. - Steve.
