2010 pinging
I bought this truck new. It has 69000 mi. and just started pinging. When I really step on it will down shift but it will not up shift till I let off the gas. It has no power and really pings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running an SCT tuner set to 87oct performance tune for fuel mi. Thanks Jeff.

You're not the first to have this issue with your truck. You need to read this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...0-pinging.html
I think perhaps it might be a good idea to pin this thread for a while. I have had another thread where this problem came up and it has to do with catalytic converters getting plugged up. Check your VIN for a recall notice with your cats. Now you may have another issue going on so I suggest you do your own due diligence. If your truck comes back with a catalytic converter recall notice you can take your truck to a ford dealer and have them test your cats. Now if your cats are not plugged you will be billed for the service obviously and I'm betting it will be a couple of hundred dollars, but I suspect you may have the same problem I have had and a few others have had so again please do your own due diligence and be as certain as you can before your start chucking out $$ chasing the wrong problem. Good luck and keep us informed here.

I don't know anything about the recall, but I know I had the same problem with mine. There's another thread or two that I researched greatly and added quite a bit to them with my experience.
The post above mine suggest you go to a Ford dealer. I would suggest checking it yourself first. Take the Y pipe loose at the engine, and look inside there with a flashlight or small camera. It should be a perfectly nice looking honeycomb structure. If not-game over.

I have not. But I've wanted to really bad. The exhaust smell is pretty bad. Also I feel like it doesn't quite have as much power as it used to. Not sure if that's due to CEL/Fuel air ratio, or my 230,000mile spark plugs or other lack of maintenance.

The dealer also re-flashed my computer too. How is your truck dong with the new cats?
