Is that module needed on an 84? I'm asking because I replaced my switch with a new switch that adds the delay feature. I had to remove the triangular plastic pin from the harness to plug it in, and find a spot to ground it, but I though that was it. It isn't working correctly, though, and I haven't had time to troubleshoot it.

Learn from my mistake. Yes, you need the box. The triangle is in their to keep you from plugging it into the wrong plug. You can usually find the whole set up on EBAY, used for $50, but the junk yard is much cheaper. Search broncos as most of them had delay wipers and not trucks.

Broncos give you way better results for lots of parts for our trucks. Don't know how many times I search Bronco for clocks and wiper delays when I was looking as there was but one or two for the F series trucks listed and way over priced.
