I've been hunting around on here and found Monte1go's thread about the DUI distributors, and a couple guys' postiive experiences with them.
I'm trying to get my new 78 ready for winter. I read another thread, about carbs, and part of the conversation was how beneficial a good distrbutor is for the carb. I like the single wire hookup, simplicty.
I'd really like to get the ol girl ready for winter (Michigan), and was wodnering if anyone had some more input about going that route.

Pulled four active coil on plugs from one and looking for another cos I have a 6 cylinder. Mostly want to do this, because how many Ford 300's out there have coil on plugs? Right now I'm running a wasted spark coil from a chysler minivan lol
THis 78 has the Duraspark II correct? I've read a couple different accounts- both the having DUI distribuotr is great and instantly appreciable and also that the durasprak II is a good system leave it alone unless you're sure something is wrong with it, then replace it with stock parts.
It was the first bad snow fall of the year. The snow on the truck was a 24 hour accumulation, the other photo with the truck in the drive way was about a week later.
