Short Bus E-450 7.3

I see some of these for sale and want to know about compatibility with our SD's. They are 2003's and the prices are looking sweet. They have automatics in them but they don't specify what tranny. Will these have our trannies in them? I figure the engines are pretty much the same maybe different turbo's?

Shows to be a 4 speed auto. Should be our 4R100 and not the Allison I would think...

Yes, they make an Allison that mates to the 7.3L. The Allison was put in by International on the medium duty applications they build. Example is school buses. I don't know what the gear ratios are, but they are automatics, so it can't be too bad. Computer to drive the Allison is the "X factor" if thinking of moving one over. And maybe space...

Thanks. No idea if it is practical, but this is the first I heard of it.

I am at 166k now and not currently having any troubles. Have JW valve body in it, so pretty firm at the moment. Looking ahead
