Should I buy this 7.3
I am considering buying a second hand 2003 F-250 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 Powerstroke Deisel. The only thing is that it has the 7.3 liter in it. But the price is unbeatable. It has 21,000 miles, and is in great condition. The dealer is asking $35,988, but I'll bet I can get him down to $35,000. I know that Ford has'nt got all the bugs out of the 6.0 yet, and I'm sure it will only be just a matter of time. But my question is, will I be at some big disadvantage if I go with the 7.3? Does anyone have an opinion on this matter, and if so does this sound like a good deal?

The 7.3 is a fine engine. Could easily last 300-500,000 miles or more. Powerful, strong, and reliable. Go for it! I would offer even less, all he can do is say no and counter your offer. Never know how low they may go if the timing is right. If it dosen't fly and you end up at the $35,000 figure that you were ready to pay anyway, well no harm done. Good luck!

Well hey there---
Good luck with your purchase. I would say come to Texas and buy you one rust free maybe a little more miles but definitly cheaper by any means. I would say at 212,000 miles on the 7.3 i have it seems like nothing. So good luck but to tell you the truth you should be able to get that truck for at least 32k or less.

Hey briggs1100.. Rule of thumb when buying. If the sales man is happy, you are paying to much. The more he is getting mad the less commission he is getting. Think about it..
Keep talking until he starts getting flustered
Once you have him good and riled up you probably are getting a good deal. Remember to keep your cool.
