I just bougth Torgue Pro and a OBS scanner for my 1995 truck.
Thought it might plug into the connector under the dash just to the right of the trans hump, to read the fault codes and clear them. Had an issue with the CEL
Are you saying it wont read codes? or the actual connection don't fit?
If its not reading you have to take it to a dealer to get the ecu reflash to make it obdII compliant.
Even if it's been flashed, it's not exactly plug-and-play. If you're not a member over at "the Nation", you should join up there, and check out the "Torque Pro Android for OBS" thread (or some similar name) in the OBS section there. There's a fair amount of setup to do, but in the end, since you already have a device to install it on, it's cheaper than the "traditional" devices used to communicate with our trucks.
Some of the connectors point aft, toward the passenger, and some point downward. No idea why. One of ours was pointed downward (I re-mounted it pointing toward the passeger). Yours might be one that's pointed downward.
Look back over there on PSN, on that thread; maybe there's a member who's gotten Torque Pro to work, who lives near you, and can help you directly with yours. That's the beauty of these forums, even though they're global, you can make local connections.
It might as well be OSB. That is as far as I have gotten....LMAO
I can not get it to connect to my tablet....I have been hunting for a blue tooth connection for the last 2 hrs on this tablet....None seen
under the torque app it says it is not connected
it does not know the scanner tool.....Vgate Bluetooth scanning tool
I bought this one because I saw pictures of it on this site and PSN
Plug the BT dongle into your truck.
On your tablet go to your Bluetooth settings and find the option to pair with a device.
The PIN code is usually 0000, 1111, or 1234.
Once you've paired your tablet with the BT dongle, then go to the Torque Pro App. It should connect.
When you are searching for devices, make sure the OBDII reader is plugged into the truck and the key is on (don't have the engine running). once it pairs it will ask for a pin it is usually 0000, 1111, or 1234 as cowmilker said.
